Message From Heather

Wow! School’s out and I’m writing this newsletter as we drive north to visit my family in Canada with a couple of college visits for my daughter along the way. Happy that I have a few moments to get this written before a busy week juggling visits and work.

My most recent travel adventures included trips to Ireland and Greece. At the end of March my family headed to Ireland for Spring Break. In April I was invited to travel to Greece with my husband to celebrate with Classic Vacations Star Performers. Before leaving for Canada, I had been home for my longest stretch of 2024 — nearly 8 weeks!

It was amazing to introduce my family to the wonders of Ireland and I’m so happy for all the clients heading there this summer! It’s such a warm and welcoming country — we enjoyed so many wonderful experiences, but highlights were definitely the tour of Kilmainham Gaol we took on our arrival day in Dublin, Giants Causeway and our stay at Dromoland Castle.

While in Greece, Dan and I enjoyed exploring Athens and Santorini with my fellow award winners before heading off on our own to explore Paros. It was early in the season and we enjoyed Greece sans crowds, but I’m definitely looking forward to returning when we can spend more time swimming in the sea (though I did take a dip at Golden Beach in Paros on a sunny day on our trip!) We brought home a lot of oregano from Paros which will be featured in many Greek salads this summer once tomatoes are in season!

Don’t worry, the rest of the VBH Travel team has been off exploring as well — Lauren took a wonderful trip to Antigua, Holly was in Aruba with her family for Spring Break and both Lauren and Kelly took Disney Cruises for Spring Break with their families. Sandy has been to California and Nantucket and has a wonderful trip to Ireland planned as well!

We truly love being able to bring our first-hand experiences back to share with each other and our clients to enhance their upcoming trips!
